Questions
How big a room does it cover?
Shark specifies up to 23m² at one air change per hour, or up to 4m² at 4.8 air changes per hour, tested at maximum fan speed. This compact model is intended for individual rooms. It is not designed to purify an entire home.
Do I really never change the filter?
Up to 5 years is a manufacturer-tested lifespan, not an unconditional guarantee. Testing used a 4m² area, 12 hours daily operation at maximum speed and a specified performance decline. Clean the outer screen when needed; never wash the HEPA filter.
Is it loud?
Most owners describe it as quiet on Auto and lower speeds. On the highest speed it is clearly audible, so for light sleepers use a low fixed speed overnight rather than Auto. The display can be dimmed.
The display always shows 100%. Is it working?
A steady 100% usually means the sensor is reading clean air, while the fan keeps filtering. To see it react, change the bedding or cook nearby and watch the reading dip and recover. Keep the vents and sensor clear. If it never changes, Shark’s troubleshooting guide covers sensor checks.
Does it have an app or remote?
No app and no Wi-Fi — you just plug it in and use Auto mode. Controls are on the top of the unit.
Delivery & returns
Gold Bark delivery times, charges and return instructions must be confirmed before orders open. UK statutory consumer rights apply; customers generally have 14 days after delivery to notify cancellation and a further 14 days to return eligible goods.
Will it remove damp or cure allergies?
No. It filters airborne particles and helps with everyday odours. It does not remove moisture, fix mould sources, replace ventilation or treat medical conditions.
What about the guarantee?
Shark lists a 2-year manufacturer guarantee for this model. Gold Bark must confirm eligible stock, proof of purchase and registration requirements before advertising guarantee coverage.
